I contacted Plantronics and they indicated the warranty was for 13 months so I am out of luck. I bought this unit about 15 months ago and had not used it for about six months as my iPhone did not support stereo. Seems a battery should last longer than a year or so. Now that it does I attempted to use it. It will not take a charge. Plantronics indicates the battery is not replaceable so my only option is to buy a new one. Think I will look for a more reliable brand.
This is definitely a VOIP headset more than a music headphone. The sound quality is ok , kinda sounds muffled but its decent enough to list to and talk on the softphone. I purchased several Bluetooth adaptors and by far the easiest setup was Callpod CPPD-0001. And all features worked perfectly.
I've had mine for more than a year and it has been almost flawless. Excellent sound. The only criticism is the recharger port and male recharger end. Light weight to wear for several hours. Even comes in handy for motivation when shoveling snow. The connection has gotten loose. If not positioned just right on a flat surface, it will not recharge because of the slack now in the connection.
Phone quality is fine; comparable or better than the others. I have tried several stereo BT headsets (this, motorola HT820, Plantronics Voyager) and these are by far the best and I use them daily, up to several hours at a time. The sound quality and comfort are the best features. They are big and not particularly fashionable but that's OK for my use. I wouldn't use them for running.
I can listen to music and when a call comes in, it automatically stops and I take my call.Plus:Very comfortable for hours to wear and very high quality. You can use it as traditional plugged in headphones with a cable from radioshack.Minus:The mute button doesn't use the mobile phone mute, but rather mutes the headset. I use this headset on a daily basis for both my mobile phone and with my computer. Switching is easy and smooth. I'm not a fan of this. The blue lite is *really* bright. I took a sharpie and tried covering it with no luck.
